CEFR Members are currently working on:

A research project on the use of the CEFR in the employment sector.

Our Focus:

The CEFR SIG investigates and discusses real-world CEFR use. We offer a platform for test developers and researchers to present their ideas and and practices concerning the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, and to discuss them with peers. We stay updated on new CEFR developments and conduct our own research into the use and usability of the CEFR in specific contexts. Currently, we are focusing on the use of the CEFR in langauge tests that grant access to the labour market.

Our News:

The most recent research by the CEFR SIG was just published in Language Assessment Quarterly: Deygers, B., Zeidler, B., Vilcu, D., & Carlsen, C. H. (2017). One Framework to Unite Them All? The use of the CEFR in European University Entrance Policies.

During the next SIG, we are proud to welcome Hanne Lauvik from Skills Norway, who will  deliver a presentation on 'Using the CEFR companion volume in developing a new digital test at C1 level'.
