ACC Members will work on:

Develop a comprehensive multilingual corpus comprising productive and receptive language data across various languages from ALTE members

Objectives

The ACC SIG aims to:

  • Develop a comprehensive multilingual corpus comprising productive and receptive language data across various languages from ALTE members.
  • Establish consistent CEFR threshold criteria based on SOTA methodology
  • Standardise annotation processes to classify corpus texts to enable future research

Activities

Participants in the ACC SIG will engage in:

  • Biannual workshops focusing on methodological discussions, analytical frameworks, and practical corpus annotation strategies.
  • Collaborative decision-making sessions to set unified thresholds and criteria for corpus inclusion and classification.
  • Interactive sessions aimed at identifying and agreeing upon key variables affecting language proficiency levels within diverse text types.
