Language certification plays a key role in Greece, shaping access to education, employment and public-sector opportunities. But how can we be sure that language qualifications are fair, reliable and truly reflect a candidate’s ability?

ALTE is organising a stakeholder event in Athens on Thursday 1 October 2026, hosted at the Goethe-Institut building, to explore how trust in language assessment can be strengthened—focusing in particular on the role of independent quality assurance such as the ALTE Q-Mark.

The event is free of charge and open to professionals working in the field of language testing.
